W. Carder Dies at 93 Willis Carder, 93, of 930 S. 2nd died at a local hospital Monday [June 8]. Carder was born Aril 19, 1871, in Harrisonville, Mo. He has lived here and Columbia County since he was 19. He was a farmer. He is survived by nine children, Mrs. Roy (Bessie) Lightle, Mrs. Harold (May [Mary]) Gosney, Willis Carder, Jr. and George L. Carder all of Walla Walla, Mrs. Harvey (Grace) Copley of Spokane, Mrs. Walter (Gertrude) Jackson of Prosser, Mrs. Earl (Dola) Greer of Denning [Deming], N.M., Martin Carder of Carnation, Wash., and Merle Carder of Ashland, Ore. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Thursday at Groseclose chapel.
