Bio
Leonard James Bruner was born on August 1, 1939 to Leonard and Marie (Sabata) Bruner in David City, Nebraska. He attended school for 12 years, graduating from Brainard in 1957. Leonard was united in marriage to Donna Danbom on September 4, 1978. He was co-owner of B & K Repair and Wrecker service for years. Later he went into farming. He retired in November 2005 and moved to Seward. In his free time, Leonard enjoyed restoring tractors. He was a toy collector and he loved his four legged friends, especially his collies, Brandy and Lassie. Leonard passed away on May 10, 2018 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 9 days. He is survived by his wife, Donna Bruner, Seward, Nebraska; stepson, Tim (Patti) Danbom, Seward, Nebraska; brothers, Jim (Sharon) Bruner, Brainard, Nebraska, Norm (Denise) Bruner, Brainard, Nebraska, John (Margaret) Bruner, Brainard, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Lynn (Jeri) Naber, Beaver Crossing, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marie Bruner.
