Bio

Jesse Jones Markey, 73, of Houston, Texas, passed from this life on May 28, 2018. Jesse was born February 18, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas to parents, William Henry and Mary Markey. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and worked many years as a Longshoreman. He loved spending time with family and playing golf. He is preceded in death by his parents, William H. Markey and Mary Secorro Alcaraz; and he is survived by one son, Raymond Markey and wife, Susan; by grandchildren, Cameron, Alexander, Jayden and Ethan; and by brothers and sisters, Emma Markey, Irene Trujillio, Josie Jasso, Mary Cardenas, Wayne Markey, Arthur Markey, Ralph Alcaraz Jr., Robert Alcaraz, and Johnny Alcaraz ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A visitation and service is scheduled for Monday, June 4, 2018 at Carter-Conley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon with services to celebrate his life starting at 12:00 Noon. He will be laid to rest in Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas at 1:45 p.m. with military honors under the direction of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.
