Bio
Alvin L. Lebruska, 79, of rural Mitchell, passed away, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at home, on the farm that he loved. His funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Mitchell Federated Church with Pastor Bill Marietta officiating. Interment will follow at Mitchell City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Jones Mortuary in Mitchell from 1-7pm. Alvin was born January 20, 1939 in Scottsbluff to Joe and Frances (Fajmon) Lebruska. He attended Sunflower School from K-12 grade and graduated in 1957. He served in the US Army from 1959-1962 and spent 2 years in Germany. Alvin married Elaine Schnell on April 21, 1963. They just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Alvin farmed all of his life and always loved watching crops grow and harvesting his labor. He was baptized and was a member of the Federated Church in Mitchell. He always had a smile on his face, and a hug for his family. He loved spending time with his friends and family Alvin is survived by his loving wife Elaine; children Jerry (Christine) Lebruska, Kelly (Stephanie) Lebruska, Konni Einfalt all of Mitchell, NE and Lori Lebruska of San Diego, CA; grandchildren Katy (Bryce) Zavadil of Kearney, NE, Hannah Lebruska, Ashlyn Einfalt and Ethan Einfalt all of Mitchell, NE; and brothers Larry Lebruska, Don (Laura) Lebruska, Ken Lebruska and Robert Lebruska. His parents, in laws Fred and Elizabeth Schnell, baby sister Patty “Patricia” and brother in law Jack Schnell preceded him in death.
