Blandinsville Star Gazette Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois Thursday, 25 June 1959, page 1 Chloe Marie Brown Ebbert, of near Adair, McDonough County, Illinois, passed away at 5:00 AM on Saturday, 21 June 1969, of heart disease, at McDonough District Hospital, of 525 East Grant Street, Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois. She was 68. Mrs. Ebbert was born on Thursday, 11 December 1890, to William Brown and Nancy Emilly Hellyer Brown, in Ipava, Fulton County, Illinois. She was the last of eight children born to this union. She was united in marriage George F. Ebbert on Saturday, 12 October 1912, in Fulton County, Illinois. Mr. Ebbert survives Chloe. They were married 58 years. Their union was blessed with two children: son John Howard Ebbert and daughter Anabel E Ebbert. Chloe lived on a farm near Ipava until the age of 15 when she moved with her parents into Ipava. In 1914, she moved to a farm north of Table Grove and in 1925 moved to the farm north of Adair where she resided at the time of her death. She had been in poor health about three months prior to her passing. Mrs. Ebbert was a member of the Ipava Presbyterian Church and the Adair Home Economics Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Eva Jane Brown, brother Wilmer Brown, sister Inez Brown, brother Frank Emerson Brown, brother Arthur Brown, and sister Minnie Brown Duncan. Survivors include her husband, son John Howard Ebbert, of near Adair, daughter Anabel E Ebbert Swigart of near Blandinsville, brother Fred Brown of Bardolph, McDonough County, Illinois, three grandchildren, and many other extended family and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, 23 June 1959, pm Tuesday at Clugston Funeral Home with Reverend Russell Coats officiating. Interment occurred at Ipava Cemetery of Ipava, Fulton County, Illinois. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Clugston Funeral Home of 303 East Washington Street, Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois.
