Bio

Henry H. Phillips was born in Tennessee, possibly Hardin Count. His parents, William P. Phillips & Liza Brown & children were in Titus County, Texas by 1860. From there they moved on to Hopkins County. Henry & his brother James H. enlisted in the CSA in March of 1861 at Mt. Vernon. he served until the end of the war in Co. B 19th Texas Infantry. He married Mollie Hudson & they had six children, five of whom were living in 1900. So far only the names of Albert Louis, Walter A., Amanda & Thomas Robert are known.
