Bio
Mildred Rose Cameron was born at her parents' home in Menlo, Iowa, February 8, 1918, the daughter of Chester and Grace (Mills) Cameron and passed away Friday, December 31, 2010, at her home in Adair, Iowa. She lived most of her life in Guthrie County. On June 27, 1938, Mildred was married to George Edward Christensen in Greenfield, Iowa. Mildred cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren trying to keep up with their many activities. She also enjoyed gardening and feeding the neighborhood birds and rabbits. Mildred loved Colorado and the mountains. Her favorite song was "On Top of Old Smokey". Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Grace Cameron; her husband, George Christensen; her sister, Margie Laushe; and three brothers, Donald, Raymond and Harold Cameron. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Lehman and her husband, Kenneth of Guthrie Center; her grandchildren, Sherry Gettler and her husband, Daryl of Adair, and Paul Lehman and his wife, Brenda of Guthrie Center; her great-grandchildren, Curtis Gettler and Shannon Gettler and her fiancé, Jeff Lee all of Adair, Katie Lehman and Kris Lehman both of Guthrie Center; her sister, Lillian Deal of Story City, Iowa; her brother-in-law, Elmer Sheeder of Adair; and other family and friends.
