Dorothy "Dottie" Mearl Richardson Luff, 93,of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 in Fort Worth surrounded by her family. Friends and family are invited to Faith Lutheran Church, 2200 SW 3rd Street, Grand Prairie, 75051 where visitation will occur from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 followed by funeral services at 11. Burial: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at DFW National Cemetery. The family kindly request donations to Faith Lutheran Women's League or Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 western Place, Suite 500, Fort Worth, TX, 76107. Dottie was born in Foss, Oklahoma on December 20, 1924 to the late Nicholas and Nellie Richardson. She was raised in Foss and graduated from Foss High School and later, Clinton Nursing School. She met and married a handsome military man, Eugene F. Luff, and they traveled the world together. Dottie was proud to call herself a military wife, spending time in several locations in the United States, plus many countries in Europe and the Middle East. She was a dental assistant for many years. Family and friends were everything to her. She devoted much of her time to her faith and community service. She loved to take frequent trips, especially to Nebraska to visit the family farms. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Glen, Ed, Bobby and her husband of forty-seven years. Survivors include her children, Connie Luff Cordeiro (Larry Sr.), Lee Luff (Gayla), Nancy Luff Curl (George III); grandchildren, Larry Jr, Carey, Alyson, George, Richard; 6 great grandchildren; beloved brothers and sisters, Arlene Dew, Maxine Kaulk, Kenneth Richardson, Johnny Richardson.
