Vera Viola Vose Vera Viola Vose, 98, of Abbottsford, British Columbia entered into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on February 24, 2018. Vera was born to Ted and Esther Amos on July 4, 1919 in Sargent, Nebraska, one of six children. She told the story of waking as a child on the 4th to the sound of gunfire thinking everyone was celebrating her birthday. Vera eloped with Leonard Chauncey Vose on October 1, 1938. Early in their marriage, they moved to Nampa, Idaho along with her extended family. Vera worked alongside Leonard starting and pastoring Baptist churches in small communities in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and British Columbia. Vera enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible, playing the piano, table games, crafts, and ice cream. The couple had eight children. She loved to wake her children with a hearty "Rise and Shine!" After 57 years of marriage, Leonard passed away in 1995. Vera moved from her home on Vancouver Island to Abbottsford to be near family. She will be remembered as a hard working woman who loved her family and prayed for them daily. Vera is survived by her loving family: children Deltazeta (George) Blecha, Boise, ID; Leonard (Elaine), Duncanville, TX; Delanita (William) Sheehan, Pasco, WA; Delavera Vose, Phillipsburg, MT; Leon (Sharon), Langley, B.C.; Lonnie (Leslee), Rocky Mountain House, AB; Leo (Joey), Phillipsburg, MT; one sister, Alberta Allen; 29 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Delavone; 2 brothers and 2 sisters; and 2 great grandchildren. Family graveside services were conducted on Wed. March 7, 2018 at Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa where Vera was buried beside her husband and near her parents and grandparents. There will be a memorial service Aug. 11, 2018 at 2 PM to honor Vera's life at Gowen Field Activity Center, Boise, ID. All family and friends are encouraged to come.
