Austin American Statesman - August 7, 1926 Taylor, Aug. 6 - A large concourse of friends, many of whom were members of last year's graduating class, gathered at the Kincl home in Compton Heights Thursday afternoon to attend the funeral services of young 18-year -old Joe Kincl, Jr., who died from injuries inflicted Tuesday when he fell from a ladder while wiring his father's gin at Crosby. His body struck a line shaft and death resulted in several hours. The Rev. J. Barton of Granger conducted the funeral services with burial in the City cemetery. Young Kincl is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kincl of this city, two sisters and one brother. The following members of the graduating class were pallbearers; Charlie Grauy, James Critz, Edmond Doak, Philip Mantor, Ivey Foster and Sherman Kennedy. According to his death certificate the fall broke his neck.
