Walter Eric Janousek, of Dallas, passed away March 29, 2018. Walter was born on August 28, 1926, in Ennis, Texas, to Anton Wesley Janousek and Hermina Kudrna Janousek, the youngest of nine children. Walter served in the US Army during WWII. His family will forever remember him as a man who loved Czech music and dance. He was also an avid gardener. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Spaniel Janousek. Also preceding Walter in death: brothers Anton, Otto, Lewis, and Emil Janousek; sisters Marie Svehlak, Ella Schwarz and infant sister Hermina. Walter is survived by sister Wilma Mach, sisters-in-law Emily Spaniel and Estelle Holy Spaniel, brother-in-law Victor Spaniel, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 1-3pm on Wednesday, April 4, at Sparkman Hillcrest. Rosary, followed by Funeral Mass, will be at St Pius X Catholic Church, 3030 Gus Thomason Road, Dallas, at 10:30 am on Thursday, April 5, 2018. Entombment will follow at Calvary Hill Mausoleum.
