Bio
Memorial services and a celebration of life for Johnny J Vinson, Jr.,72, of Palestine will be at Bailey & Foster Chapel. He was born to Johnny Jefferson Vinson Sr. and Alvis Farrow Vinson. Mr. Vinson worked for TDCJ for 20 years. He started at the Michael Unit as a guard, after a year he worked the outside picket and then transferred to transportation until he retired May 2014. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents and baby boy, Michael Vinson. He is survived by his wife Nonnie Vinson; daughter, Michelle Straughan Walsh; sons, Johnny J. "Jeff" Vinson III, and Michael Straughan (Brandi); sisters, Susan Sublett and Judy Stallcup (Obie) and five grandchildren. (Bailey & Foster3/29/2018)
