Bruce Kosch, 60, of Columbus, Nebraska, died on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at his home in Columbus. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, at Gass Haney Funeral Home. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Bruce Alan Kosch was born on June 22, 1957, to Harold and Janet (Dullum) Kosch in Osceola, Nebraska. He grew up in Shelby, Nebraska, and attended Shelby Public Schools, graduating from Shelby High School in 1975. Bruce was united in marriage to Deborah Flamme on December 13, 1975, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby. Bruce worked as a plastic technician at Kroy Industries in York and later as a truck driver for Muleskinner Express. He loved gardening, construction work, and working with animals. He enjoyed working on his family’s farm and built several structures for his daughter’s goat farming operation near Shelby. He took great pride in his resourcefulness, creativity, and ability to find a use for everything. Bruce loved to tell stories and had a great sense of humor, a sharp wit, and enjoyed being a prankster. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bruce is survived by, his wife, Deb Kosch of Columbus, daughter Summer Kosch of Shelby, daughter Calandra Kosch of Shelby, son Adam (Katie) Kosch of Bennett, grandchildren Alex, Deacon and Ryker, daughter Tiffany (Matt) Peteete of La Vernia, Texas; grandchildren Aria, Rowan and Everett, son Timothy Kosch of Columbus, mother Janet Kosch of Spokane, Wash.; sister Linda (Allen) Kuzelka of Hastings, brother Chris (Dee) Kosch of Reno, Nev.; sister Jackie (Tom) Martens of Columbus, brother Brian (Audrey) Kosch of San Francisco, sister Michelle (Mark) Gable of Colbert, Wash.; sister Lisa (Joe) Kostohryz of Medina, Ohio; sister-in-law Pam (significant other-Steve Versteeg) Brandt of Columbus, sister-in-law: Michaele (Mitch) Kasper of Columbus, brother-in-Law Kevin Flamme of Duncan and many nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Harold Kosch, brothers Greg, Franc and Kevin Kosch, and infant Brother Ronald Kosch.
