Lubbock- Gerry Wayne Adams passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Family will gather for a private celebration of life at a later date. Gerry Wayne was born on November 2, 1946 to Luke and Opal Clark Adams in Levelland, Texas. On January 2, 1976, Gerry married the love of his life, Edna Wolfe in Clint, Texas. He worked for the Littlefield Post office for 35 years. He could "Gerry rig" anything and enjoyed doing it. Gerry enjoyed racing drag cars and working on them. He loved to collect Hot Wheels and coins but loved his wife Edna more than anything else. Survivors include his wife, Edna Marie Adams of Petersburg, Texas; three daughters, Edie Renee Smatla and husband, Christopher; Rene Ellison and husband, Cooper of Petersburg, Texas, Jill Edwards of Lubbock, Texas; two sons, Casey Adams and wife, Jody; and Brin Lee Adams; 13 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke Brin and Opal Ruth Adams.
