Bio

Alonzo was the son of Stephen W. Miles, Sr. and 2nd wife, Esther Shook. Waterloo Republican, March 1877, "Died - on the 28th (n/t?), near Smith's Landing, of spinal meningitis, Alonzo Miles, aged about 32 years." Letters of Administration were filed at Monroe County, Illinois on March 20, 1877. Naomi A. Miles was appointed administratrix. Heirs were listed as Naomi A. Miles (widow), William Shook (half brother) and the children of Stephen W. Miles, Jr. deceased. He left no children as heirs.
