Nell Sims May 01, 1936 - March 13, 2018 Services for Nell Sims age 81 of Palestine will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dan Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Land of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Mrs. Sims passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1936 in Palestine to Chester Ford McDonald and Ruby Delane Miller McDonald. She was retired from Walmart where she worked as a dispatcher. She was also a member of the Crockett Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters Tammie Brown and Penny Vance, son Lane Sims, sisters Peggy McDonald Sanders, and Pam McDonald Cail, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Adam Vance, Randall Brown, Jeremy Brown, Matt Dixon, Sid Vance, and Michael Vaughan. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
