ALLY MILTON JONES, 90, died Saturday, March 10, 2018, at his home. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the Anson Church of Christ. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home. Born June 14, 1927 in Brown County, Milton was a son of the late Martin Bird and Josie Rachell (Peeler) Jones. He attended school in May and graduated from Rising Star High School. Milton joined the Army in August 1945 and served in Paris, France as T/3 HQ Det. W. Base Sect. as Chief Clerk. He married Frances Lee Mayhew in Sonora March 29, 1947. Milton and Frances moved to Anson in 1968. Milton was employed by Wes Tex Drilling Company for 31 years and drilling superintendent at D. B. Drilling for 2 years. After retiring from Wes Tex Drilling Company, Milton continued to perform consulting work and hot shot runs. He had an ongoing cow and calf operation until the time of his death. Milton was a member of the Farm Bureau Board and the Truby Church of Christ. Milton was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter (Linda Pickrell), one son (Donald Jones), one grandson (Daniel Jones), two brothers (Roy Jones and Billy Jones) and one sister (Marie Slater). Survivors include his wife, of Anson, one daughter, (and husband, ) one son, (and wife), eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
