Martin & Castille Funeral Home Lafayette, Louisiana Kathleen Adele Hightower March 12, 1950 - March 11, 2018 A 10:00 A.M. Catholic Service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018, in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Kathleen Adele Marak Hightower, age 67, who died on Sunday evening, March 11, 2018 at her residence in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Milton. Reverend O. Joseph Breaux will conduct the services. Survivors include her beloved husband, of 46 years, James Allen Hightower of Lafayette; daughter, Joanie Hightower; son, John Hightower and his wife, May; two sisters, Linda Marak Scott and Donna Marak Riess; three brothers, Marty Marak, Bill Marak and Bob Marak, and a granddaughter, Eyrin Adele Hightower. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry M. Marak and Helen Berberich Marak. A native of Shreveport and resident of Lafayette for the past 32 years, Kathleen was a graduate of St. Vincent's Academy in 1968. Furthering her education, she was a 1972 graduate of LSU in Baton Rouge, and became an educator with the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Kathleen will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Jim Hightower, John Hightower, Marty Marak, Bill Marak, Bob Marak and Corey Arceneaux. The Hightower Family requests that visitation be observed in Martin and Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and will continue on Thursday morning from 8:00 A.M. until time of service.
