Bio

Doris was born and raised on a farm in Burno. Nebraska. She graduated from David City High School and married her sweetheart Ray. They moved to Lincoln, NE and enjoyed 51 years of blissful marriage together, rasing 4 children in the Catholic Faith as the foundation of theri family life. She was proud to say " I was a a graudate at 17, bride at 18 and a mother at 19. A stay at home mom, she contributed to her childrens future college education by working as a phone Sales Manager for Arthur Owens Studio for 30 years. Even now her children can recite her sales pitch from hearing it so often. Doris enjoyed volunteering at area hospitals and her childrens schools and outside activites like Scouts and Campfire Girls. She was an active member of her Churches Altar Society. Her green thumb resulted in exquisite flowers and vegetable gardens were admired by all. She also ejoyed cooking and had a mastery of baking pies and kolaches. Doris and Ray enjoyed going dancing and taking family vacations and business trips. At her home at Brookstone Village, she enjoyed Bingo, roaming the halls with her walker and riding the stationary bike., atteding tailgate parties, social hours and Mass in the Chapel, weekly.
