Bio
Andrew Thomas Utsman, Route 2, died at 5 p.m., Saturday at Holston Valley Community Hospital. He was a farmer and a stockman. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Whorley Snapp, Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Hubert Baird, San Francisco, California, Mrs. James Alton, Antioch, California, Mrs. Dowey Crawley, Surgoinsville and Mrs. F. L. Palmer, Jr., Kingsport; two sons, Sam of Dearborn, Michigan and A. J. Utsman of Greeneville; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Colboch-Price Funeral Home. Utsman, will be held at 2 p.m. at the Midway Church of the Brethren in Surgoinsville, on Monday, July 27, 1959. The Rev. G.W. Slagle and the Rev. Ray Wine will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Andrew T. Utsman was the son of Francis M. and Eliza F. Utsman. Mr. Utsman married Rosa L. Palmer on December 25, 1901 in Hawkins, Tennessee. They were blessed with six children.
