Bio

The Oklahoman, Wednesday, May 16, 1951: Mrs Sadie Belle Galbraith, 79, of Bethany, died Tuesday night after a lingering illness. She made her home with a daughter, Mrs Harold Beck, 203 S. Redmond, Bethany. Services will be 3 pm Thursday in Merritt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs Galbraith was born in Mercer Co, IL and came to Oklahoma City in 1907 from Adair, Iowa. Her husband, William Galbraith, a contractor, died here in April 1943. Mrs Galbraith was a charter member of Putnam City Methodist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include Mrs Beck; a son, Ralph Galbraith, 1301 NW 27; a brother, Sanford Brownlee, Adair, IA; and two grandchildren, Mrs Gordon Haley, Bethany; and Margaret Beck, Bethany. ----------- Parents: David and Emma Brownlee
