Annie Atkins August 5, 1920 - March 2, 2018 Annie Atkins, age 97, passed away peacefully at her home in Clovis on Friday, March 2, 2018. Annie Atkins, 97, of Clovis, NM went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 5, 1920 in Shackelford County, TX to Frank and Anna Hromas. When she was 6 years old her family moved to Oklahoma Lane, TX. She married Harmon Atkins December 21, 1940. Annie was a homemaker, and when she wasn’t busy raising her children, she would enjoy spending her time making quilts, doing needle work, crocheting, canning goods, and loved to bowl. Preceding her in death are her Parents, Frank and Anna Hromas; Husband, Harmon Atkins; Daughter Ann Bullion; Son, William Atkins; Son-in-laws, Don Scherer and John Tillman; Grandchildren, Steven Bullion and Alyssa Bullion Martinez; and one brother and sister. Survived by: Sons Harmon (Billie) Atkins, Jr., Jim Atkins, Robert (Pat) Atkins, Thomas Atkins, Paul (Dorothy) Atkins, Joe (Mary) Atkins, and George Atkins; Daughters: Mary Tillman, Frances Atkins, and Rose Scherer; son-in-law, Thomas Bullion; daughter-in-law, Verla Atkins; sister, Loraine Brewer; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services at Forrest Heights Baptist Church, 1701 S. Prince St., on March 17, 2018 at 2:00pm with Garlan Hughes officiating. Burial at Lawn Haven Memorial Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request for donations be made to Forrest Heights Baptist Church in Annie’s honor.
