James Dorman Johnson Sex: M Birth: 12 May 1941 in Waskom, Harrison County, Texas Death: 27 Jan 2007 in Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana Burial: 30 Jan 2007 Marlow Cemetery, Vernon Parish, Louisiana James Dorman Johnson Funeral services for James Dorman Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007, in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Arlin Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery in Marlow, under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Johnson, 65, of Pitkin, died Saturday, January 27, 2007, in the Extended Care Center of Southwest Louisiana in Lake Charles. He was a native of Wascom, Texas, a 1959 graduate of Pitkin High School, a longtime member of the Marlow Baptist Church and was retired from the KCS Railroad as a Conductor after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Mary Ruth Timmons Johnson; and one brother, Nickey Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Sybil Goins Johnson of Pitkin; son and daughter-in-law, Dorman Gregory & Donna Johnson of Pitkin; daughters and son-in-laws, Lisa Johnson Baggett and husband Kelton of Pitkin, Lori Johnson Landry and husband Phillip of Durango, Colorado; one brothers, Gary Lynn Johnson of Rogers, AR; nine grandchildren, Blake, Ben, Amy, Caleb, Katelyn, Luke, Morgan, Cole and Gracie. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2007, and end at the families discretion. Father: J.D.
