Louis (Lou) Warren Brenner Sr., 75, of Naples, FL, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Formerly of Mendota Heights, MN, he had been a Naples resident since 1998. He was born November 24, 1942 in Mapleton, IA, the son of Maurice and Florine (née Uhl) Brenner. Lou was proud of being a loving father and grandfather, a trusted advisor to many, and being named the Minnesota’s Notre Dame Alumni Association’s “Man of the Year”. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his best friend and partner in life, his wife of 54 years Lois Ann (née Nagy) Brenner. In addition to Lou’s wife, he is survived by his beloved children, Louis W. (Monika) Brenner Jr. of Fairfax, VA, Teresa Riley of St. Paul, MN, Deborah (Christian) Rand of Amherst, NH and Pamela (Percy) Lucina of La Grange, IL; his brothers and sister, Robert Brenner of Scotts Bluff, ME, David (Denise) Brenner of Notre Dame, IN, Paul Brenner of Spencer, IA and Nancy (Joseph) Sinnott of South Bend, IN; and eleven cherished grandchildren. Lou was predeceased by his sisters, Carol Dobson and Maureen Williams. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N, Naples. Burial will follow at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 11th Ave. N. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Matthew’s House, www.stmatthewshouse.org. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.
