ARLINGTON -- Dolores Marie Dunning, 70, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, in Arlington after courageously battling cancer for 26 years. Memorial Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis St., Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 4, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Dolores was born on June 26, 1941, in Great Bend, Kan., to Jean J. Oborny and Elizabeth Baxa Oborny. She graduated Fort Hays State University. Dolores married Leon Richard Dunning on July 4, 1963, in Timken, Kan. She worked as a second-grade teacher at Jefferson East in Hays, Kan., Carroll Peak and Edward Briscoe elementary schools in Fort Worth. Dolores retired in 2000 after 36 years of teaching. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Women's Guild and the Fort Worth Woman's Club. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: Husband, Leon Richard Dunning; children, Catherine Young and husband, Thomas, Michael and wife, Kelly, David and wife, Renee, Gregg and wife, Kellyann, and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Sarah, Jonathan, Paul, Daniel, Deborah, Joshua, Audrey, Maria, Bridget, Clare, Michael, Adelaide, Joseph, Helen, Lucia, Greyson and Emerson; brothers, Edmund Oborny, Gene Oborny, Kenneth Oborny and Marion Oborny; and sister, Mildred McCloy.
