Bio
Shirley Estalee Green Harwell, age 83, passed away February 27, 2018 at Heritage Convalescent Center in Amarillo. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. to be conducted by Jimmy McNeil at Owens Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. She was born to Wayne Vernon and Bernice Maude Shields Green, August 31, 1934 in Celeste. She worked in banking and was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shirley was a member of Pleasant-View Baptist Church in Arlington. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby Joe Harwell, and her daughter Rebecca Harwell. Shirley is survived by her sons: David and wife Diana of New Virginia, Iowa, Mark and wife Tammy of Arlington, and Stephen and wife Rose of Arlington; daughter Beth and husband J.W. Miller of Amarillo, her brother Bill Green of Mesquite, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Published in Star-Telegram on Mar. 2, 2018
