Raymond Francis Lonowski, 74, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2018. He was born September 20, 1943 in Chicago, IL. Ray was united in marriage to Janet Badura on February 6, 1965 in Loup City, NE. He worked for Ven do Corp in Kansas City for 12 years and later at Bendix for 36 years before his retirement. Ray was a self-taught mechanic and enjoyed working in his yard. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Local Union 778 IAMAW. Survivors include beloved wife of 53 years Janet Lonowski of Blue Springs, MO; son, Bradley Lonowski of Dallas, TX; daughter, Jennifer Works (Ray) of Blue Springs, MO; brother, Richard Lonowski (Joan) of Grand Island, NE; sister-in-law, Alice Ann Lonowski of Alda, NE. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Loretta Lonowski; brothers, Don and David Lonowski. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St, John LaLande Catholic Church, 805 N.W. RD Mize Rd, Blue Springs, MO. The family will receive friends one hour prior starting at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the Blue Springs Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. John LaLande Catholic Church Growth Fund or St. Lukes Heart Failure Unit.
