"Katherine Lucile Sparling, 81, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Kansas City, died Tuesday at a Joplin hospital. She was born in Warrensburg, Mo., and had lived here 20 years before moving to Oklahoma City four years ago. Mrs. Sparling was a member of the Warrensburg United Methodist Church. She leaves a son, C. George Manley of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Lucile Shadid of Oklahoma City; two brothers, John W. Rickert of 7044 S. Benton, and Jack Rickert of Santa Clara, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Lennie Cole and Mrs. Leva Williams, both of Independence; four grandchildren and a great-grand-child.
