Bio
Frances Laverne Ashmore was born to Jim and Frances Wilson on September 19th, 1927. She passed from this earth into the open and awaiting arms of our Lord on February 20, 2018. Frances married J.D. Leshikar on April 25, 1961 and was blessed with 31 years of marriage until his death on November 4, 1992. Frances worked for years at the H.E.B. in Taylor and then spent the rest of her years as a homemaker. Frances loved to travel and she and J.D did plenty of that over their time together. Frances also had the blessing of finding love twice on this earth. On February 14th, 2005, she married Frank B. Ashmore Jr. In a short fifteen months they lived a lifetime of love. They treasured each other. Frances led Frank to the Lord during their short time together before he died on May 5, 2006. Frances loved the Lord with all her might. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed going to church on Sunday and getting together with her friends in Taylor for coffee at Walmart, Hardee's and McDonald's. Later in her life, while in the nursing home, she once again enjoyed coffee time with her friends around the table. She also enjoyed driving to the Sunday night "singings" around the neighboring Taylor towns and took as many friends with as she could. Frances is survived by her daughter, Gloria Jean Lee, five Grandchildren, their spouses and numerous Great and Great-great grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James F. Wilson, husband J.D., husband Frank, and great grandchild Robert Sutton. A visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Monday February 26, 2018 at Condra Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2pm. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
