Bio

Emma was the daughter of James Calvin Cravey and Eliza Jane Thompson Cravey. Emma was engaged to Jesse Ard, younger brother of Aaron Ard (husband of sister Mary Jane Cravey). Tragically Emma was stricken with polio, and while recuperating/rehabilitating her fiance, Jesse, died. She remained unmarried for the rest of her life, living with family members.
