Mary Birdsong, 79, of Amarillo died Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Kaufman, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mary Birdsong was born in Dalhart, TX to Comer Clark and Sallie Gaylor Clark on February 19, 1938. She graduated from Dalhart High School. Mary was a great cook, especially her fried chicken. She enjoyed family, friends, dancing, and later in life, she developed a love for golf. Recently she enjoyed helping at the Food Pantry in Amarillo. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Gary Birdsong. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm, Friday, January 26, 2018, at the funeral home.
