Wylene Barnes age 89, of 207 Adams Street in Paxton died in a Pensacola health care facility March 31,2013 . Born August 24, 1923 to Jessie and Alma King Barrow. Wylene worked many years at the Franklin Ferguson factory in Florala. She was a life long member of the Yellow River Baptist Church and later an active member of Cross Roads Assembly of God Church. Wylene was an exceptional cook and when she wasn't cooking for her family get togethers, she loved to take care of her flowers around her house. Her grandchildren began calling her "Granny B" and this name continued on, symbolizing her special, one-of-a-kind devotion to her great grandchildren as well. Her family was the light of her life. Wylene can never be replaced. She was preceded in death by father, Jessie Barrow; mother, Alma King Barrow grandson, Anthony Barnes; brother, Glenn Barrow; sisters, Lucile McVickers; Roberta Ballard; Marie Barrow; Carolyn Lawhorn. She is survived by one daughter, one son,5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral : 11:00 AM Thursday April 4, 2013 from the Cross Roads Assembly of God Church with James Parker officiating
