Daily Freeman Journal December 5, 1986 Albert Largent Albert Largent, 87, a longtime Stanhope resident, died early Thursday evening, Dec. 4, at the Boone County Hospital, where he had been a patient the past three days. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8 at the Stratford Care Center with the Rev. William VanDam officiating. Burial will be in the Neese Cemetery near Stratford. Friends may call at the Foster Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 until noon Monday, Dec. 8, when the casket will be taken to the care center. Albert Largent, son of Lewis and Josephine Largent, was born March 17 [11], 1899 at Stanhope, where he was reared and educated. He was employed with the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for 47 years. Following his retirement from the railroad, he resided at East Lane Manor in Jewell for five years. During the past nine years, he lived at the Stratford Care Center. Mr. Largent was a veteran of World War I. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.
