The News-Register, McMinnville, Oregon, Wednesday, August 12, 1964 Services for John Edward Gutbrod Jr., 39, of Eureka, Calif., who died Aug. 9, 1964, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheridan, will The Rev. Mervin Kellerman officiating. Interment will be at Green Crest Memorial Park. Arrangements are in care of Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home. Mr. Gutbrod was born in Sheridan May 15, 1925, the son of John and Hedwig Nagel Gutbrod. He attended Sheridan schools and during World War II was a member of the armed services. In Sheridan on Aug. 21, 1950 he married LaVerna Schoof. The past eight years they had resided in Eureka where he was employed in a plywood mill. He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Caroline, Eureka; his parents; two brothers, Roscoe and Oscar, both of Sheridan; a sister, Mrs. Frances Amos, Arcata, Calif.
