Bio

Clifford R. Mathis, 69 of Rendon, passed away January 16, 2018. Cliff was born May 14, 1949 to Archie and Lennie Mathis. He served in Vietnam with the US. Army and received a purple heart and was honorably discharged in 1970. He went to work as a plumber, and owned his own company until he retired in 1999. He was a loving Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle and loved spending time with his family. Cliff liked to play golf and visit the casino. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Archie C. and Lennie M. Mathis; and his four legged children, and most cherished companions, Dixie and Daisy. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Kasie Miller, husband David; David (Kyle), and wife Jamie. Brother, Kenneth; grandchildren, Garrett & Kayla Warn, Brielle and Isaiah Miller, Matty and Connor Mathis, Jay McGowan, & Charlie Martin. Also several nephews that he was very fond of. Funeral service will be Wednesday January 24, 2018 at 10:00 am, at Emerald Hills in Kennedale. Interment to follow at The Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas at 1:00 pm.
