Bio

Virginia Lorean Orsak, 96, died on December 21, 2017, and was buried on December 27, 2017, in a private graveside service at Crestview Memorial Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents Beatrice and Bass Owen King, seven older siblings, and her husband of 64 years, MSgt Charlie George Orsak. Born December 2, 1921, in Temple, OK, she was raised in Wagoner and Randlett, OK. After graduation, she moved to Wichita Falls in 1941. As the wife of an AFMSgt, she accompanied him on assignments to Japan, Okinawa, and England. She helped her husband in Boy Scouting when her sons were young, and after retiring, enjoyed RV traveling with the Wichita Wagons and Retired Military RV Club. Mrs. Orsak took pride in being the Arst secretary to the principal when Hirschi High School opened in 1962, and served 21 years. She befriended many students and teachers and was often recognized in the community. She is survived by two sons: Dr. Charles George Orsak, Jr. and Lana, Corsicana; and CMSgt (ret) Larry Dale Orsak and Coleen, San Antonio. Four grandchildren: Larry Dale Orsak, Jr. and Deann, Wichita Falls; Clessa Ann Fumo and Giuseppe, Dubai, UAE; Erik Lawson Orsak and Kristy, MansAeld; and Charles Aaron Orsak, Corsicana. Five great-grandchildren: Lawson and Mason Orsak, MansAeld; Sarah Beth and husband Salvatore, Grignano, Meadows Place; Amy Fumo, Rome, IT; and Joshua Fumo, Dubai, UAE. Two great-great grandchildren: Giulia and Lorenzo Grignano, Meadows Place. Additionally, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Orsak was a woman of great strength, pride, determination, and love for her family. She was sharp and focused until her death and enjoyed sharing stories about her experiences during her long and eventful life.
