Bio

Mildred Lois Baker Fredrickson, age 96, went to be with our Lord early in the morning of January 2, 2018. She passed away at Autumn Leaves Alzheimer's facility in Georgetown, Texas where she had been a resident for the past eighteen months. Mildred was the fourth child to join the Baker family at the Baker homestead about six miles east of Andice, Texas. She grew up surrounded by family and close friends in rural Williamson County. She lived next to her grandfather who was a minister and Elder of the Primate Baptist Church. She and her sisters enjoyed sitting on the fence watching people come and be married in front of her grandfather's home. She attended Matsler Height School where she would meet her husband to be Walter Murray Fredrickson. They would enjoy 48 years of marriage. As Matsler Height did not have a high school, Mildred fished school at Georgetown High School where she was on the tennis team. She lived in Rosebud, Amarillo, Temple, Austin, and Lake LBJ. In each location she took opportunity to learn new skills. She developed a passion for ceramics and ultimately became excellent at making ceramic dolls and would make clothes for them just as she made clothes for her granddaughters and great granddaughters. She was active in the First Methodist Church of Temple, Crestview Methodist in Austin and the Kingsland Community Christian Church. She was part of the development of the Kingsland Senior Center. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruby Teague Baker and Arthur Baker, her brothers William Baker and Hebert Baker, her sister Opal Stroud, and her husband Walter Murray Fredrickson. She is survived by her daughter Ann Earnhart of Lockhart, son Walter Barry Fredrickson and wife Darlene of Georgetown, Her sister Nelda Faye Stone of California, grandchildren Lucky Fitzgerald of Dallas, Tracy and Terry Tucker of Georgetown, Shelly Hesson of Georgetown, Renea and Stephen Cady of Lockhart, Kelly Glenn and Stephanie Fredrickson of Jonah, Jennifer Fredrickson of Bolder Colorado, and seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. We are extremely grateful to all the staff at Autumn Leave for their constant and excellent care and for Encompass Hospice. Family and friends are invited to a visitation and reception to be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville. The family request an donations made in Mildred's memory to be made to their charity of choice.
