Bio

Son of Carl Dietrick(August) Evers and Aaltie Janssen (Meta) Buchs Rites Held Tuesday for Fred Evers Fred Evers, native of Springfield, Ill, who farmed for many years in the Macon community, died Saturday at the Franklin County Memorial Hospital at the age of 81 years. Services were held Tuesday, April 6, 1965, at 2 p.m., in the Methodist Church of which he had been a member for more than 50 years. The Rev Earl O. Hess officiated and burial was in the Macon Union Cemetery. The Hutchins Funeral Home of Franklin was in charge. Evers leaves his wife, Matie; daughters, Mrs. Herbert Bartels of Upland, Mrs. John Frerichs of Columbia, S.D., and Mrs. Kenneth Arment of Aberdeen, S. D.; 16 grandchildren, and his sisters, Mrs. Charles Steinkruger and Mrs. Hippe Yelken of Franklin.
