Darlene Marie Kingston, 81 of Mount Vernon passed away on April 21, 2009 in Mount Vernon. She was born to Reid and Ava (Blauch) Petrie on June 25, 1927 in Grand Junction, Colorado. She worked in real estate as a property manager. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and was an avid reader. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; daughter Victoria Kingston and five siblings. She is survived by her son Paul Kingston of Vancouver, WA; son Reed Kingston of Mount Vernon; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Russell Petrie of Bishop, CA, and long time partner Jack Young. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 12:15pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 110 S 5th St, Mount Vernon, WA 98274. Inurnment will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home.
