Emma "Ruth" Davidson (June 30, 1931 - July 9, 2017) Emma Ruth Davidson, age 86, of Point, formerly of Emory, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, at her home. Funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory. Bro. Jason Rolen and Bro. Robert Burns will officiate. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Alba. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday night, 6-8 PM, Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Ruth was born in Alba, on June 30, 1931, to Bonnie Olen and Ema Geneva Flowers Morrow. She married Robert Davidson in Rockwall on August 8, 1973. During her working years, Ruth worked in restaurants. Later to be the owner and operator of her own restaurant. Ruth was of the Baptist faith. A lot of people knew her as "Nannie." Nannie loved her flowers and also her chickens...each one had a special name and a special place in her heart. Nannie could make the BEST pies in the world...especially chocolate and coconut! Survivors include: Son: Bobby Anderson (Tommie) of Emory; Grandchildren: Robbie Lynn Gonzalez; Kathy Lynn Dieken; Cheryl Hooten; Bryan Anderson; and Misty Pyron; Great-grandchildren: Timothy, Nicholas, Steven, Tori, Cameron, Matthew, Katie, Haley, and David; Great-great grandchildren: Easton, Jaxon, Aalynn and Andrew; Numerous other loving family and friends. Preceded by: Parents, husband, Daughter: Betty Anderson; 3 Brothers: Marshall, Albert, and Gernell; and 4 Sisters: Wyoma, Faye, Virginia and Jane
