Roushey, Dorothy (Hardin), 76, of Denison, Texas. Born February 9, 1941 in Kaufman, TX, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 in Sherman, TX. Dorothy attended Bells High School and later earned her degree in Accounting and Bookkeeping at State Area Vocational Technological School in Rogersville, TN. Where she was awarded Student of the Year for 1990-1991. She was self employed, owning “The Signal Company,” and was contracted with Lone Star Gas for many years. She also worked at Preston Auto, Dallas County Adult Probation, Molecular Coating Specialists, and Tatex Thermographers. She was a long-time resident of West, TX and lived a full and adventurous life in the states of TX, CA, TN, and FL, where destiny finally landed her in Denison, TX. Dorothy was a “jack of all trades;” she loved to paint, create magnificent master-pieces with stained-glass, as well as with all arts and crafts that she touched. She also loved to work cross-word puzzles. She was a master at being the most beautiful, loving, caring, sharing, strong and independent mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She truly touched the lives of everyone she knew and met. She brought great wisdom, joy and humor to all, Dorothy will always be our sunshine and will always be greatly missed and remembered. Preceded in death by parents, Roy Lee Hardin and Thelma (Willis) Hardin Harris, brother, Roy Franklin Hardin; daughter, Sherry Lynn Jackson; and husband, Charles Wesley Roushey. Survived by : sister, Mary Chandler, Denison, TX; son, Troy Stanley and wife, Merica, Pottsboro, TX; son, Wesley Matus and wife, Debbie, Waco, TX; daughter, Beverly Bearden, Pottsboro, TX; son, William (Bill) Kettrey and wife, Stacy, Peoria, AZ; son, Mark Kettrey, Sherman, TX; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, TX on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be registered online at www.fisherfh.com
