Bio

Don E. Seifert, age 74 of North Platte, passed away December 10, 2017 at his home. He was born July 16, 1943 at Loup City, NE to Arthur E. and Dolly L. (Fletcher) Seifert. He graduated from Benson High School in Omaha and later hired out on the UPRR in Omaha and transferred to North Platte in 1970. He retired after 45 years of service. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman. His love for outdoors also led him to scuba dive, and race motorcycles on the dirt and ice. Survivors include his children; Ken (Deb) Seifert of Kearney, Jerry (Gina) Pennington of Richmond, TX, and Lori Post of Greer, SC, sister; Barb Seifert of Omaha, granddaughters; Alicia Hixon, Kelsey Seifert, Danette Ditch, and Spring Lanfried, cousin; Terry Fletcher of North Platte, which the family would like to thank for the care and attention he gave Don over the years, many, many, cousins, and his furry companion, Gloria. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Ralph and Barbara Fletcher. Don requested no services but think of him on your next fishing trip. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in care of arrangements.
