KIRBYVILLE - Funeral for Opie D. Jones, 66, of Houston will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home chapel with burial in Bean Cemetery. Jones died Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in a Houston hospital. He was a native of Gilmer and a Houston resident 33 years. He was a retired carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Ila Inman Jones; a son, Harold Jones; two daughters Mary Horelica and Bethanne Jones, all of Houston two brothers, C. E. Jones Jr. and Virgil Jones, both of Houston; six sisters, Verlene Plaisance of New Orleans, Ena Owers and L. V. Byrd, both of Hornbeck, La., Edith Siau of Saratoga, Minnie Bell Paulman of Beaumont and Elvie Lee Mathis of Silsbee.
