CHILDRESS - Mary Aline Smith, 99, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, in Lufkin. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Childress Cemetery with Mike Suiter officiating. Arrangements were by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 4, 1908, to Hugh and Lena Tarpley Minnis. She married Gaylon B. Smith on Nov. 29, 1929, in Altus, Okla. Survivors include two sons, Don Smith of Lufkin and Milton Smith of Lubbock; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
