Bio
Artie Frances Monson, 79, of Elgin, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017. Artie was born Oct. 26, 1938 in the Wildwood Community to Arthur and Agnes (Heger) Oncken. She retired from the IRS after 30 years of service and recently retired from the First National Bank of Bastrop, Elgin Branch. Artie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janet Sue Monson, her parents Arthur and Agnes Oncken of Weimar, and two brothers John G. Oncken of Katy and Paul Oncken of Weimar. She leaves behind two daughters, a son, and one grandson. Also surviving Artie are three sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial November 8, 2017 at St. Michael Church in Weimar, TX.
