Don Edward Dolive, 93, was born on February, 22, 1924 in Oak Hurst, TX to Edward and Mattie Dolive and passed away on November 1, 2017 in Mesquite, TX. He is survived by his wife Jane Dolive and family and friends. The service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 12:30 pm in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland. Don proudly served the state of Texas as a state trooper in the Department of Public Safety for 37 years. He actively participated with his son , Mark, in the Boy Scouts. He faithfully served several terms as a Deacon at New Covenant Presbyterian Church. He also served many years as a Mason. He was a devoted father and loving husband for 74 years to his loving wife Ladye Jane Dolive. Don is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Mattie Dolive. Survived by his loving wife, Ladye Jane Dolive, son Mark Dolive and wife Christie Dolive of Fort Worth. He is also survived by his brother Wayne Dolive of Longview, TX and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2525 N Buckner Blvd, Dallas, TX. Funeral Service will be held Monday November 6, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel, followed by burial at Restland Memorial Park.
