The Des Moines Register (Iowa) Thursday - March 12, 1959 Mrs. Bradfield Rites Monday Relatives have received word of the death of Mrs. Katherine Ann Bradfield, 77, of Arcadia, Cal., formerly of Des Moines. Mrs. Bradfield died Tuesday after a long illness at Temple Aire Convalescent Sanitarium, Temple City, Cal. Born at High Point, Ia., near Leon, she lived at Leon until 1923 and then in Des Moines until 1949. She was a member of Pythian Sisters since 1903. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Long, Arcadia, Cal., and Mrs. Dee Gifford, Des Moines; a son, Thomas, San Bernardino, Cal.; two brothers, Roy and Orville Stout, Leon, and four grandchildren. Services will be at Slade's Funeral Home in Leon at 2 p.m. Monday, with burial at Leon.
