Bio

Larry Lee Kemp, 67, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on September 2, 2013. Larry was born in New Albany, on September 9, 1945 to William Siegel and Edith Marie (Cavitt) Kemp. He worked for many years at WC Grace where he retired. Larry loved going to see live music, especially blues bands. He also enjoyed taking rides in the country with his friends. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Schlensker; nieces, Kelli Stines (David), Melissa Bachmann (Tim) & Kristi Dalrymple (Greg); loving friends, Sherry Davis, Paulette Ray, Ann Baker, and his caregiver, Esther and many other friends. Along with his parents, he was proceded in death by his brother-in-law, John Schlensker. A Memorial Gathering will be from 6 to 7 pm Friday, September 6, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Larry's wishes. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to all the staff of Hosparus for their amazing care of Larry.
