Ruby June Parker Reneau passed away Oct. 15, 2017 in Morrison, Colo. Ruby June Parker Reneau was born June 5, 1928 in Ansley, Neb. She was the daughter of Alma M Landes Parker and Lemuel H Parker. She spent her childhood in and around Ansley and Broken Bow. She had six siblings, Bonna Jean, David, Wanda, Carol, Doris and Leland (Corky). She graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1948. She worked at Heston's 5 and 10 in Broken Bow. She met her husband Robert E. Reneau in Broken Bow and they were married July 24, 1949. They made their home in Broken Bow and had three children, Diana Marie, Danny Lynn and Jeanne Louise. The family lived in Broken Bow until moving to Denver, Colo., in 1958. Ruby worked at W.T. Grant's department store in downtown Denver until it closed and then she worked for Fashion Bar, retiring from that department store in 1990. Ruby was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker raising three children with her husband, Bob, while working. She was a talented seamstress, sewing clothes for her children. In her retirement years, she made many beautiful quilts by hand. She gifted these quilts to her family, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren. These quilts are precious treasures which will always remind her family of her. She was a hard working woman and a wonderful cook and she always had a fine garden. Her children and grandchildren have many fond memories of working in the garden with her and enjoying its bounty. She loved to spend time in the garden and yard tending flowers and vegetables. She loved the outdoors and picnics. She loved birds and animals of every kind, especially doting on her dogs and cats. She was unselfish and giving, always putting her family first. As the eldest child of seven, she lovingly helped to care for and raise her younger siblings. She loved her husband and children dearly and was devoted to them. She loved yellow roses and the color lavender. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Bonna Jean and Wanda, her beloved aunt Dorothy, and her aunts and uncles from the Henion and Parker families. All of her family members will treasure the times spent with her. She was sweet, loving and kind to all of her family and friends. She was generous, sometimes feisty, and somewhat innocent, with a wonderful sense of humor. She was deeply loved by her husband and family. She will be remembered and terribly missed by all of her family. May she rest in eternal peace. A memorial service will be held in June, 2018, in Broken Bow. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Robert; her children Diana Reneau of Howard Colo., Danny Reneau of Denver, Colo., Jeanne Reneau Esphahanian and husband Cy Esphahanian of Morrison, Colo.; her grandchildren Dominique Devaney of Conifer, Colo., Angelique Reneau of Denver, Colo., Mina and Jackson Esphanian of Morrison, Colo., Aaron, Daniel, Michael, James, Spenser, and Linda Reneau of Denver, Colo., LaMarie Reneau Claybrook of Salida, Colo., and Adrianna Reneau Claybrook of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her four great-grandchildren Elliot, Lila, and Asher Devaney of Conifer, Colo., and Abrianna Esmae Reneau Affourtit of Denver, Colo.
