Bio

David passed away October 24, 2017 in Dallas. He was born June 7, 1939 in Dallas. He was a carpenter and mechanic most of his life. David was an avid hunter, fisherman, gambler, and just loved life. He was a man of many traits. David is also a Navy veteran and served with the Navy for four years. He is survived by 4 children, Linda Kay Hayes, Starla McCoy (Johnny), David Hayes Jr. (Robin), Misty Allen (Glen); 5 Step Children, Jerry Delay, Darla Fritz (Richard), Mike Delay, Sandy Starek (Jolly), Rusty Hatcher (Holly); 1 brother, Daniel Hayes; 4 sisters, Billie Wortham, Brenda Chumbley, Trula Russell, Betty DeMauro; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren. A visitation is 7-9 pm Monday, October 30, 2017 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. The Funeral Service is 10:30 am Tuesday, October 31, at Jaynes. Interment will follow at the Dallas – Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Dallas with honors.
